Does anyone else here knows about this actor?
He was very famous in the 1970s, with several international film awards. But I have never seen him
in a film. I have seen him in many HK TV series (the first one was 大内群英 when I was just a
kid, but there are a lot that I have missed) and all I know is that he is a very very good actor.
Recently he appeared in the new series 匯通天下 and wow he is great. 60 years old and he is
still charming.
People says he was great in 九陰真經 as 黃藥師 (I suppose it was a long time ago). Has
anyone seen this one?

I was stuffed with 姜大衛's movies during my high school years. (By that time, Shaw Brothers
operated two chains of cinemas and showed a new movie every two weeks.)
姜大衛 was known to be the God-son of the famous bloodstaining director 張徹. The most
frequent scene at the end of every movie is 盆腸大戰. Literally it means he fought dozens of
enemies and was stabbed in the belly several times with guts spilling out. But somehow he stuffed
them back and continued to fight till death.
It was gross but that was the norm of that time.

I see. But I haven't really seen the TV series.

The TV series was great back when I watched it for the first time in maybe 91? I watched it again
recently, either TV making or I have grown.
